Comments (3)Last week I wrote about the Mile High Club and the business opportunity it represents after reading a post on another blog. After I’d written the post I read through the comments on that blog and came across one that, commenting on untapped niche markets said:
I did that recently…(start a business in a niche market) [...]

Comments (0)Here’s a great example of someone spotting a topical niche, which I picked up on from 10 Yetis site. A lady has taken advantage of the media interest around Prince Harry going (or not) to Iraq and setup a website selling t-shirts with “I’m Harry” and a target on them:
Kudos for donating 25% of total [...]

Comments (0)Business 2.0 is reporting about JetPens a business run by three students at Stanford University. The students, Lily Kim, Shu Lindsey, and Adrian Mak had trouble finding the precision pens they liked to use, the Japanese-made ultra thin ones with tips half the width of the average ball point.

The business was started by Devin James who says “Sex [...]

Comments (5)As my wife is pregnant and therefore not drinking I’ve given up drinking, it doesn’t seem fair to sit and drink in front of her when she can’t. We didn’t drink that much anyway, but I have always enjoyed my beer, so I’ve been experimenting with non alcoholic beers (proper non alcoholic, i.e. 0% alcohol).
This came about as [...]

Comments (1)Ok it’s maybe a bit niche, but probably a big enough niche to make it worthwhile but why doesn’t someone import some of the excellent t-shirts available from ThinkGeek as last time I brought a couple (yes I really do wear this) the import duty and postage made them rather expensive!
