Buy A Domino’s Franchise

on April 29th, 2007

dominosAlong with a McDonald’s franchise, Domino’s Pizza is another franchise with a well known brand. Domino’s Pizza is world renown in pizza delivery and one of the most successful franchise businesses ever. They have more than 8,000 stores in over 50 countries.

Domino’s Pizza operates a turnkey scheme which means that all property identification, acquisition, planning, design, construction, shop fit and equipment sourcing services are provided to franchisees as part of their franchise package, you just have to turn up and “turn the key”. Though they do give you extensive training before they let you start.

You’ll need roughly £230,000 to start a Domino’s franchise. They state that for a store with average net turnover of £9K per week, the capital payback will be approximately 3 years, assuming nil borrowing.

To find out more about their franchise business opportunities visit their franchise page (UK/USA).

They get 4,000 enquiries in the UK each year. They have 150 existing franchisees and so far in 2007 just one of those is a new recruit! They are only really looking for people in areas where the current franchisees are not in a position to expand

Which is the sign of a good franchise unlike some of the cowboys trying to sell franchises without even having a proven business model.

I had a pizza franchise. I made approx. $75000/year. I worked 100 hours a week, every week. I mean I ran as fast as I could 100 hours a week. Did you here me? I am not kidding. I owned it for 10 years. My kids grew up without me.I dealt with drunks EVERY night. My staff was aprrox 25 employees, which equals 25 problems. When I sold it, I looked over my payroll records. I had over 500 different employees. Would I do it again? NO NO NO.
