A reader asks:
Can you tell me where I can get some free business start-up advice?
Well firstly I’d suggest you join my free business forum and post a message asking for the advice you need. The more specific and detailed you make your questions, the better the quality of the answers and advice you will get.
Secondly I suggest you contact your local Business Link, they are a government supported organisation who provide government funded free business start-up advice. The quality of the advice does vary and I’ve found that they tend to employ far too many advisors who have never actually started or run their own business.
Thirdly the Princes Trust offers free business startup advice to those aged 14-30. They also offer funding. I have no experience of dealing with them.
Finally while it’s not free, I offer a business start-up advice service for a very reasonable fee.

Do you have a business question you would like me to answer? If so you can Ask John, inquire about using me as your Business Consultant or or you can ask on the forums where you’ll get both my input and that of your fellow entrepreneurs.
