Rodrigo Moya emailed me a couple of days ago about Speaking Roses, who have developed a way to transfer images onto fresh-cut flowers without shortening the life of the flowers. They have this to say about themselves:
Speaking Roses created an idea over 7 years ago that would merge the flower and greeting card industries forever. After developing and patenting our unique idea, we went to local flower shops and businesses with the possibility of offering Speaking Roses as a compliment to their product line or thank-you gift to their loyal customers. The response was immediate and overwhelming.
It seems they are now branching out via licensing offering home business and professional packages. I don’t have enough information to judge the merits of their franchise business opportunity, but I am impressed with their rather unique business idea. I’ve never seen anything like it before - have you?

Interesting. You know, I usually love stuff like this. However, as a consumer, it doesn’t do anything for me. It almost feels like it takes away from the flowers. Maybe I’m alone on this one…
I don’t have a particularly strong view either way - but I do think it’ll get noticed and talked about - which could be a good thing.
This flowers are the coolest thing ever, mixing nature with your own feelings! Incredible, my dad bought some for my Mom and she said that in 43 years of married, she has never receive something that make her feel so good like this flowers from speaking roses.
