Trump Never Give Up tells the stories of Donald Trump’s biggest challenges and worst mistakes in business. In each story he explains how he overcame these mistakes and challenges and in the process turned them into successes.

Few people can claim to have failed so spectacularly as Trump, in 1991 his business was facing bankruptcy and he was facing personal bankruptcy, but he never gave up and by 1994 had shaken off the nearly $1 billion of personal debt while his business had cleared a large part of it’s $3.5 billion. So he’s well positioned to pontificate about never giving up.

I enjoy reading Trump’s books; they are short, sharp and punchy, hardly surprising when he packs 41 chapters into just 164 pages! The brisk, passionate and no nonsense style makes them inspiring and motivating to read. Unfortunately having read several of his books, they are now starting to feel very familiar, each seeming to tell the same stories in a slightly different way, to make largely the same points. That said I still really enjoyed reading this one, finishing it with a day.

According to Wikipedia Trump’s financial problems affected a number of ventures that he doesn’t mention in this book, it would have been interesting to read more about those, in particular to hear his view on events and to learn how he overcame the problems.
