I’m very lucky that my wife I and run our business together, it means that we both understand what we’re doing, why we doing it and the risks we’re taking when we choose a course for our business. It also means we can share my business ideas with each other without boring or frustrating each other. I can’t imagine how hard it would be if we didn’t work together. However for those of you that don’t work with your partner I came across a blog by Pamela Slim called Escape From Cubicle Nation where she has posted an excellent article “Tips on how to get your spouse to support your entrepreneurial dreams“.
Reading through the tips it occurred to me, based on my past experience, many of these problems apply to not just your partner but parents, brothers, sisters and friends too.

This blog is about business opportunities and ideas that I spot, think of or hear about and think are useful and interesting. It is intended to provide ideas and inspriation for you to help you find the right business idea for you to then grow it into a successful business.

Pamela Slim’s article does make very good reading and her point number 5 particularly rings true with me.
