Thanks for these articles, they are great! My favorite article was Liz Fuller’s, and Scott Fusco’s. I got a ton of helpful information, and many of the readings were inspirational. I also have some very valuable information for women who are planning on starting their own business. Mirassou is having this great contest called, “Make your Dreams Come True with Mirassou.” One business women will be awarded $50k, plus a team of highly professional consultants to help kick start their business=D You can check out: http://www.mirassou.com/women_in_business/dreams.asp for more details & to enter! The deadline is Dec. 15 2007. Anyone going to give it a shot? I work with them, so just helping to get the information out! Good luck!

    Hi Pearl,

I’m glad you enjoyed my article. And it’s great that you mentioned Mirassou’s contest. I wrote about them on my blog and I think it’s a great idea and a great company.

I actually have written about several contests for small business owners, both men and women, and some just for having an idea about a business that you’d like to get funded.

[...] The Business Opportunities and Ideas Carnival #3 has lots of fascinating articles for Women Entrepreneurs.  As I’ve discussed in previous posts, Women Entrepreneurs are more likely to self-fund their businesses rather than obtain investors. Those who think they might benefit from engaging others in their business, will find valuable information in Christopher J. Brunner’s article Getting Others On Board With Your Vision posted at GreatFX Business Cards.    [...]
