I would see why swearing could enhance a team spirit. 

In the Western business culture, things are much more appropriate and politically correct disregarding if it is with customers or with colleagues. But if you go to a culture like Japan, it is a "must-do" that employees do something stupid together to have a bonding experience and boost morale. Even with customers as well, you have to do something stupid to entertain customers.  Swearing is not a good way to entertain customers, even in that culture....

Also not a good idea in front of your spouse and kids.</description>
