Dragons’ Den returns for a fifth series – next week, with nine all-new episodes. There’s also a new Dragon in the Den as James Caan joins Deborah Meaden, Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones. The new series airs Monday 15 October 9:00pm on BBC2.
Business ideas up for consideration in the first episode include a while-u-wait gold plating service, a Cornish music festival, dried fruit and meat snacks and a celebrity look-a-like business for hen parties.
I wonder if the Dragon’s will be pulling Peter Jones’ leg about Tycoon after it flopped?
I’ll be writing a series of post critiquing the pitches and offering my view of the wisdom of the Dragon’s choice to invest or not, much like I’ve done with StableTable and Trunki.

This blog is about business opportunities and ideas that I spot, think of or hear about and think are useful and interesting. It is intended to provide ideas and inspriation for you to help you find the right business idea for you to then grow it into a successful business.

Brilliant show. Roll on Monday. Wonder if there will be a Reggae Reggae sauce equivalent this year.
I suspect we’ll get the usual mixture of silly ideas and jeopardy moments before the Dragon’s offer investment.
