Entrepreneur.com has an article 10 Businesses Facing Extinction in 10 Years in which they suggest that the following ten businesses will be gone in ten years time:
-
Record stores
-
Camera film manufactures
-
Crop dusting
-
Gay bars
-
Newspapers
-
Pay phones
-
Used bookstores
-
Piggy banks
-
Telemarketing
-
Coin-operated arcades
The question is not so much if they’re right but what will replace them and is replacing them a business opportunity for you. Better yet look at the ten businesses you deal with most often and consider how they will be impacted by new technology (i.e. the Internet), the changes society is going through (more environmentally conscious) and the changes that are happening in your local area (for example my local area has a rapidly growing Polish community).

Well at least a lawn business is not on this list. Great idea for a post.
Cheers

I think lawn care will be safe for many years yet!
