Joanne contacted me to ask if I knew where she could find an apprentice. As there is potential for the right candidate to become a shareholder in the business, giving them a unique business opportunity I thought I’d post it here. Here’s what she sent me:

• Year 1 - Learn the ropes and be fully trained.
• Year 2 - take the reins and run the business.

The right person will need the determination, drive and hunger to see through a demanding first year of hard work and training. If successful, they will be rewarded with shares in a successful venture full of potential and take over full responsibility for running the business in year two.

Salad Heaven in Central London (right next to Victoria Station) is much more than the name suggests. It comprises affordable B&B rooms on the upper floors, a relaxing café with a buffet salad bar which serves as a coffee shop and salad/sandwich bar throughout the day, also serving continental breakfast in the mornings, and on the lower floor an internet café. The right person will see that there is good potential for development and will be free to use their creativity when they take over in the 2nd year.

As the owner of the business, seeking to semi-retire, I will teach you everything I know about running a successful business during your first year; meanwhile you will take a “hands on” role working in Salad Heaven and the current manager will train you in the day to day running and management.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly self motivated young individual to have substantial shares in, and run their own business!

Salary £15,000 in first year, then substantial by negotiation.
