Business Opportunities And Ideas

The Meter Is On Us

on June 26th, 2007

This interesting and wonderfully simple idea comes from Seth Godin:

Why don’t local businesses buy $50 worth of quarters now and then and feed all the meters in town… just put a little flyer under the windshield wiper.

I like it, I suspect many people would read the flyer - more than if you posted it through their letter box and you’ve immediately started building up goodwill. What other inventive marketing ideas do you have that could reach 200 people for $50?

That really is a great idea.

It remind me of the idea that I read where some company stapled a $1 note to their marketing leaflets.

I wonder what the ROI would be like with a fiver in England!

It’d be interesting to find out, timed nicely with a good press release it might result in some bargain publicity too.
