I’ve just read Darin.CC a blog about Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), and Advertising run by Darin Carter after hearing about it on John Chow’s blog. As I’m always keen to keep my knowledge of SEM and SEO up-to-date I thought I’d take a look.
He has a good series of articles on Pay Per Click Management (PPC) which provide an overview to running a successful Pay Per Click advertising campaign, well worth a read if you’re not an experienced PPC marketer.
I was particularly interested in the article How To Generate Targeted Site Traffic Without Search Engines which provides some great ways to get good targeted traffic for your website, without depending on the search engines. Though I’m not sure you’ll see me streaking anytime soon!
He also addresses how best to use Public Relations (PR) to improve your search engine visibility in the post Writing A Press Release For Maximum Web Visibility which details the ways in which a good press release can be used to drive more traffic - so remember to make sure your web address is included on the next press release you send out!
