There’s been quite a few questions about SEO and requests for good SEO consultants recently on a number of UK business forums such as the UK Business Forums. So it seem to me that there is plenty of scope for a competent SEO consultant or someone just starting out to create a good simple Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) guide for small businesses perhaps in the form of an ebook or short print on demand style publication. This guide could then be given away on a website, or in person at networking events as a way of demonstrating expertise which should lead to new business.
If the book is well written and easy to understand it should be possible to get businesses to reffer other businesses to this excellent FREE resource creating a viral marketing effect for the SEO consultant.
The SEO consultant could then find it easier to sell their services as the businesses will understand what needs doing and if they try to garner links themselves may well find out how hard it is and how an SEO consultant can add value, allowing the business to focus on it’s core competency.
Finally by including affiliate links in the ebook there might be a nice little revenue stream available to cover the creation/printing costs.
